The brief was to create an illustration for mural of Bauman Moscow State Technical University's research center Quantum Park. Client aimed to exude a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere for young scientists entering the building.

The client associated the scientific exploration with a child launching a rocket. A child is fearless and doesn't know life yet, so taking risks is easier for the younger ones. Moreover, launching a rocket was compared to a cheetah jump. It was the main inspiration for the further illustration development.
This is my thought process presented in sketches for the future illustration. I started from designing a Bauman maskot - a cheetah. Then there was a search for the most successful and meaningful composition that would reflect the initial ideas in the best way possible.

There are two options for the final illustration that were given to a client to choose. Those are variations of one scenario that takes place in space.
